BBQ Sunday

Ever since i can remember, sunshine has always instigated cracking out the BBQ and smashing some meaty goodness on the grill. It seems like i'm not alone in this and what was originally a solo mission for me and Bec has turned into a weekend event with a few close friends coming over with beers and various meats. For the past couple of weekends, Sundays have been all about Al Fresco dining and, depending on the weather, will be continuing into the future.

The knowledge and skill of BBQ should be passed down through the generations to ensure that the man of the house can, despite any unfortunate weather or environmental conditions, still setup, light and cook on a BBQ for his guests.

I've always been a fan of a BBQ. There's something about cooking outside in the sunshine with friends that just makes me properly happy. The smells, the heat, the tastes and the conversation all relate to nothing but happy times for me and if i have anything to do with it.

My usual round-the-house tasks of radiator bleeding, basic carpentry, general DIY and the ability to mend or at least diagnose anything on a vehicle is definitely superseded by the ability to cook food on a BBQ. The knowledge and skill of BBQ should be passed down through the generations to ensure that they can, despite any unfortunate weather or environmental conditions still setup, light and cook on a BBQ for guests.
