I'm engaged!

Earlier this year, I took the plunge and mustered up the courage to ask my amazing girlfriend to marry me. I never thought that I would meet someone that would make me feel so different about everything but since meeting Bec, my whole outlook on life has changed for the better.

She makes me happier than I can even put into words, we've bought an awesome house together and in late spring/early summer next year, we'll be getting married!!

Where? How?

Everybody has been asking me how I popped the question to her. Unfortunately for you, I'm not going to go into the whole event on my blog as we want it to be something relatively private for ourselves, close family and our friends. What I will say is that the Gotham Hotel in Manchester is quite honestly the best hotel that I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing in my entire life.

The whole evening went absolutely perfectly, everything that I had planned for our evening went ahead without a hitch (something that I've got to thank the incredible staff at Gotham for... they made everything even more special than it was already going to be!). I wouldn't change anything about how it happened and from what Bec has told me, neither would she and who am I to argue with that face!

> Through a lot of sneaking around, some little white lies and help from some very knowledgable jewellers, I managed to source, secure and purchase what I thought was the best ring I'd ever seen.

The Ring

I chose the ring myself. From what Bec tells me, she had literally no idea that any of this was going to be going down for a couple of years or so. Through a lot of sneaking around and some little white lies and some help from some very knowledgable jewellers, I managed to source, secure and purchase what I thought was the best ring I'd ever seen. I love it and in my opinion, so would my lady. Cheers Beyoncè

I've always entertained the thought that I'm not an overly emotional person but getting engaged has made me fully understand how much this girl means to me. If you've had the pleasure of proposing to a girl, you'll know exactly what it feels like and if you haven't, I'll let you try to imagine... there was a lot of tears and even more champagne!

Roll on next year! I literally can't wait!

Massive thanks to our very close friend Alex De Palma for the awesome photos that he kindly took of us over at Beacon Fell. We're absolutely over the moon with them.
